The owner manager of a security company had concerns about how the business was operating, including the efficiency of certain members of staff, and asked for a business review.
The Task – Undertake a Business Review
I met with the owner manager and agreed that I would carry out a detailed commercial review of the business.
I prepared a work programme and attended the company’s premises to undertake a full business review. This included discussion with staff concerning key areas such as: trading analysis, sales & marketing, debtors, cash & bank, creditors & purchases, management reporting & review systems, company strategy, IT & website and payroll. I prepared a written report and discussed this in detail with the management.
The owner embraced the findings of the report, recognising the need to spend more time managing the business and driving forward key changes, to facilitate growth. I have continued to provide ongoing advisory support for the owner manager.
